Birthday Boy

It appears all my emotions were preemptive and Jace's birthday came and went with no tears on my end.  I did reminisce his birth story and his hasty entrance into this world. (This could use a post all of it's own, but if you aren't familiar and to sum it up, he was almost a car birth!)  It shouldn't have surprised me how fast this year went as well.  It was the same with Davis and now I am doubly busy so, of course, it was bound to fly by.   Sigh. I do feel that I made a pointed effort in enjoying the moments, savoring the snuggles (even the 2 a.m. ones) because I knew that they were fleeting.  They would pass in a blink and I would be standing there at the bus stop soon enough.  I know that you CAN'T get these moments back.  And it STILL sneaks up on me!  How does that happen??!!
Anyway.  Enough already!  Here is my little man and his party.

Crazy balloon fights!  Balloons = best. gift. ever.

At 1 year old, Jace is quite the little guy.

Things he can do:

clap his hands

eat almost any table food, thanks to his 8 teeth!

walk (started at 10 months) and dances

says ma ma, da da, me, done, more

pretends everything is a phone and chats 

climb stairs

go down 1-2 stairs

Things he loves:

music

his mommy, daddy and brother

food especially broccoli and meat oddly enough!

sweets

phones and remotes

pulling everything out of my cabinets

water (baths, swimming etc)

biting (working on stopping this behavior : ) )

balloons

Things he hates:

being dropped off at the nursery

getting changed (funny because he used to love this)

getting cleaned up after a meal

tylenol/medication

vacuum cleaner

getting in his car seat

 My little boy.  What a joy!
